
Jennifer P Savey, Principal
Ms. Savey was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from the University of San Francisco as well as an Honors Humanities Degree from the Saint Ignatius Institute. She continued her education with Golden Gate University School of Law whereat she obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2000. She is a member of the State Bar of California Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Her professional experience began in Workers’ Compensation in 2000. Throughout her career she has represented Employers, Insurance Carriers, Third Party Administrator’s, and CIGA in the California Workers’
Compensation System. She has assisted Employers in developing protocols and procedures for compliance with Medical Provider Networks.
Professional Activities
Ms. Savey has planned and conducted presentations for claims personnel advising of pertinent modification in the California workers compensation law as well as Medicare Set-Aside Allocations. In addition, she has participated in employer claims reviews for multiple accounts to facilitate a cohesive defense team inclusive of the employer and insurance representatives. Ms. Savey has undergone extensive legal training in Self Insured Employer Regulations in order to provide comprehensive analysis and assessment of liability in light of indemnity exposure inclusive of prospective monetary reserving of the claim. Ms. Savey has also provided National Risk Managers with recommendations to implement new policy for effective claims management in California as well as coordinate and lead team meetings with executive management to ensure compliance with the California Labor Code.

– Practice Highlights: Began her workers’ compensation practice in 2003; initially represented injured workers before transitioning to defense to refine litigation strategy. Represents public entities, self-insured employers, and third-party administrators. Proven success defending petitions for penalties and Labor Code §132(a) claims, including securing Findings and Awards with “take nothing.” Regularly participates in employer claims reviews and provides legal updates and presentations to claims personnel.

– Practice Highlights: Practicing workers’ compensation law since 2000, including owning and managing her own Firm. Represents insurance carriers, self-insured entities, third-party administrators, and large self-insured Fortune 500 employers. Skilled in negotiating global compromises and releases for complex claims with multiple dates of injury. Provides claim reviews and educational presentations to claims teams on the Labor Code and case law.
