Jennifer P Savey, Principal
Ms. Savey was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2000. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in 1997 from the University of San Francisco as well as an Honors Humanities Degree from the Saint Ignatius Institute. She continued her education with Golden Gate University School of Law whereat she obtained her Doctorate of Jurisprudence in 2000. She is a member of the State Bar of California Association and the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Her professional experience began in Workers’ Compensation in 2000. Throughout her career she has represented Employers, Insurance Carriers, Third Party Administrator’s, and CIGA in the California Workers’
Compensation System. She has assisted Employers in developing protocols and procedures for compliance with Medical Provider Networks.
Professional Activities
Ms. Savey has planned and conducted presentations for claims personnel advising of pertinent modification in the California workers compensation law as well as Medicare Set-Aside Allocations. In addition, she has participated in employer claims reviews for multiple accounts to facilitate a cohesive defense team inclusive of the employer and insurance representatives. Ms. Savey has undergone extensive legal training in Self Insured Employer Regulations in order to provide comprehensive analysis and assessment of liability in light of indemnity exposure inclusive of prospective monetary reserving of the claim. Ms. Savey has also provided National Risk Managers with recommendations to implement new policy for effective claims management in California as well as coordinate and lead team meetings with executive management to ensure compliance with the California Labor Code.
Richard M Widom, Of Counsel
Over his 40 years in practice, Mr. Widom has represented countless Self-Insured Employers, Insurance Carriers, worked with almost every Third Party Administrator, the California Insurance Guarantee Association and the California Self-Insurers’ Security Fund.
Richard M. Widom has been Certified as having been Selected as a Member of the Council on Litigation Management, an International Organization. This occurred after having been nominated by its Advisory Board Chairman and following Evaluations of the Highest Ethical Standards and Integrity, Accomplishment in the Profession of Law and Adherence to the Canons, Ethical Considerations and Disciplinary Rules of the Model Code of Professional Conduct.
Professional Activities
During his over 40 years in practice, Mr. Widom has participated in numerous seminars covering a wide range of topics presented to groups of Employers, to Insurance Carriers, and for Third Party Administrators as well for the California Insurance Guarantee Association. He has also been retained as a consultant and served many years ago as a Judge Pro Tem. In addition, Mr. Widom has trained numerous defense attorneys and claims organizations on Workers’ Compensation Laws, negotiating tactics, Self-insured Employer Regulations, Medicare Set-Aside Allocations, Utilization Review and Independent Medical Review
